There is a disturbing new internet trend called ‘Trayvoning‘ where teens and adults are taking photos of themselves wearing a hoodie lying on the ground posing as if dead with some Skittles and iced tea near their bodies. Of course, this is all mocking the death of Trayvon Martin, who was shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who is accused of racial profiling and killing the 17 year-old. Unlike recent internet trend ‘Planking,’ lying face-down with your arms by your sides in an unusual but recognizable location, or ‘Owling,’ sitting in a perched position while looking off into the distance much like an owl, which both had some humor in them, ‘Trayvoning,’ is sadly about death and alleged senseless murder. Also, most of the photos of the teens and adults seem to be ‘white’ males so racism awareness again is in being raised due to the ‘racial profiling’ behind the Trayvon Martin case. Still, mainly the issue is that the ‘mocking’ of anyone’s murder – black or white – willed be viewed as disrespectful. (link)

When I first saw this sort of thing a few weeks ago I think it was to show support? Wherever i saw these pictures people were apparently doing that to kind of show how relatable it is and that anybody could have a hoodie, iced tea, and skittles

But if people are treating it like planking that’s offensive

But
A lot of these places can actually be ~located on a map? Like Hogwarts is in Scotland and Panem is North America and camp half blood is somewhere along the eastern seaboard(???)
Also they’re kind of super disproportionate but whatever
It’s an interesting concept to think about

my sister was playin’ around with my hair for prom

and she’s going to bring the braid down so it’s closer to my ear

mmm this looks kinda likea section what I did with my friend laura’s hair for prom
She really likes braids so I started out with a waterfall braid going from her part down across the back to the bottom ofthe other side
And then she wanted it in a ponytail so I did a dutch braid along the bottom going in the same directon as the waterfall braid into a ponytail
But then there was this little boring section on the other side so I put a lil baby french braid there going into the ponytail
But then the ponytail was being problematic so i put it in this braided bun thing it was so cool
Why did I take no pictures
That is probably the coolest hair thing i’ve ever done
